El Producto Queens

So I was rooting around in the shed and came across a box of 25 el producto queens cigars. I presume they were my grandfathers who was laid to rest in 98. I have never smoked a cigar before in my life but wouldn't mind trying. Not sure if this is a stupid question or not but are they safe (as in will I get sick or anything?). Also are they of any major value?
    Any help much appreciated 😀

I'm sure they're as safe to smoke now as ever they were, and with the box open I doubt they're worth anything.

These days, El Producto look like they're machine made. If they've always been a machine-made, then they're probably not worth much despite the sturdy-looking wooden box and the tubes they come in.
