Qashqai indicator and brake light flashing

I changed all of the bulbs but the issue still remains - when you turn on the indicator, the brake light/tail light flashes too. Then the indicator starts flashing really quickly.

Is this an earthing issue? and will disconnecting and reconnecting the earth on both sides help?

    Thanks

Yes it is, probably corrosion in the electrical return path of the lighting cluster.
Is there water getting into it?

Not that I know of - I will dig a little deeper at the weekend

looks like an earth problem, especially as the brake lights draw most current. Used to see this a lot in Renaults.

I had a similar problem with an old Megane, and my wife has it on her Punto.  If you disconnect the plug from the rear light cluster you might find evidence of overheating or burning on one of the terminals.  Most probably the earth.  What I did is drill a hole through the earth circuit on the printer circuit board on the light cluster and connect a light wire.  Then I drilled a hole on the body of the car and connected the wire with a self tapping screw (so basically a new independent earth connection).  Problem sorted.
