Magically control all your favorite devices and so much more. Smart Remote’s screen instantly adapts to anything you point at

Is that the one that needs the small frisbee sticker things placing around the parts of the room you want to point at?

Sounds like a gimmick, I've been burned by kickstarter HA tech before.

Why bother with this when Logitech Harmony works so well. Why point a remote at something why you can just use your voice to control it.

I'd honestly say remotes are now a step backwards.

It's just another remote that can get lost/misplaced.

    Voice control if the future.

And besides, we already have the remote for all the smart things we have! It's called a smartphone/tablet.

The ticket here will be a killer app

One app to rule them all

You'd get bored fast saying ,
TV change, TV change , TV change etc
Sometimes a remote will always win

Well the Harmony Hub already offers exactly that. The Harmony app on your phone can control pretty much every device with IR, Bluetooth or IP Control.

I agree, which is why I recommend getting the remote along with the Harmony Hub. You'll also get tired of pulling the phone out of your pocket, unlocking it, looking for the app, waiting for it to load every time you want to change the channel.

But this is why I like Harmony, it allows you to use it in multiple ways, whichever way makes most sense.

For instance I normally turn the tv on and off by voice, which is handy when you have your child in your hands and I have it go straight to Cbeebies.

Then I'll use the remote later in the day for surfing. However the app also gets used the odd time when the remote has disappeared somewhere in the room, which it does far too often!

It is good to have all these options in one device.

Just wondering how you're using voice to control TV? Is it built-in or can you use the Harmony?

Harmony. It is basic control for now, just turn on and off the TV. I'm actually doing it by Google Voice -> IFTTT -> Harmony or Echo -> Yonomi -> Harmony

Actually I can turn on and off multiple harmony activities, TV, PS3, etc. It runs on/off all the devices and sets the correct inputs.
