Mower for Small Tractor

    I am looking to get a mower for cutting around 30 acres of hay , does anyone know a suitable mower that could be used with a massey ferguson 240 , 42hp

    Give the contractor 20-25 an acre and they'll be done in a couple of hours,you could spend days cutting it then it will have to be rowed for a baler,most contractors mowers have a grouper that puts the 2 rows into the 1 row making it quicker baled and less time around a field with a haybob.
    Or i suppose you could buy a drum mower at 1100+ and tip away yourself its up to you really.

    +1 on the contractor by the time you have the headlands done he'd be heading out the gate! Plus if you're under pressure for hay weather every hour counts!
