What do most people use for cleaning out a dusty PC? I know compressed air is meant to be good, anyone recommend a particular brand?

Compressed air cans are ridiculously expensive for what they are. I use a vacuum cleaner in "reverse" to blow out dust, but I'm not sure all vacuum cleaners can do this. Make sure you stick a finger or other implement in the fan blades to stop them rotating otherwise the fan motor acts like a generator and can produce voltages that might damage the MB.

compressed "air" cans are usually full of R-143a (1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane), hence the expense. I usually bring my dusty PC's outside on a windy day, take the case off and give the internals a good blast of compressed air (the real thing...)
Ask around your neighbours, one of them might have a small compressor you could use or even nip down to your friendly local garage
