After making bits of my phone this morning so time to get a new one. Does anyone know of any discounts other than the IFA Vodafone one? No coverage in my area with Vodafone so basically any other provider will do.

Who can you get coverage with. Work from that. Can only get meteor here.

Anyone other than Vodafone works here but the IFA membership discount is only for Vodafone... and paying over inflated wages.
Prob just go with 3 or meteor. No great deals out there atm

for the iphone 5 for 89 euro, you have to take the "€28.91 plan unlimited calls & texts to Irish landlines and mobiles, 5gb of data, 100 international texts, 100 international minutes, 24 month contract, free smartphone available."
it is available through a company I used to work for, but I still get the offers and can refer people, once you sign up you too can refer people.

I think the data allowance is now 7gb with it

yep, pay as you go, 15 euro for unlimited calls & 10 GB data & you keep your 15, so for me usually works out about 120 euro per year.

very poor coverage from all networks in farm yard so we brought the wifi from the house, so 10gb is more than enough data

Can you get it on the 16 euro deal and pay more for the phone?

On 3 here using the business plan. €20 + VAT for unlimited calls text and data. Its a monthly contract but you don't have any deals on phones

I'd avoid 3 like the plague. Had 2 mobiles and a broadband dongle with them and overnight coverage went to pot, my gripe wasn't that but their customer care is absolutely brutal. Every complaint took min 30 mins trying to translate to some lad from India with no interest in your coverage. Now with Ifa and 20 +vat all calls and enough data for me (no phone) and in 6 months 2 calls from Vodafone checking that everything is okay. And I can understand them

No coverage with Vodafone since they built a windfarm nearby, no coloration according to Vodafone but went from 5 bars to nothing over the space of a few weeks. Ended up having to buy out a few contracts to break them and similar to your story I wouldn't go near them with a barge pole ever since, aside from the fact there is no coverage here with them still from lads coming into the yard.
