    Hi,

    Just looking for a bit of advice on Salary Expectations generally.

    My details are as follows :

    I am degree qualified quantity surveyor with 10 years exp working for contractors.

    I am working (thankfully) in west of ireland with a small / medium construction company.

    I cover all aspects of quantity surveying, safety management and also part office manager looking after invoices along with other things.

    When I started with current company over 5 years ago they found themselves in very difficult situation financially as many did back then. Since then company has turned around 3 fold going from a minus situation to a very positive account balance and is growing basically trebling profits in 5 years roughly.

    Just currently thinking of putting in for a wage increase and looking for opinions on what people would consider salary expectation based on above.

    ~60k ? Based on what advertised currently - mainly around Dublin for an experienced Qs.

    45-50K would be the going rate for a decent main contractor with your experience in the Monaghan / Cavan region which i'd imagine is similar to the 'West'.
