Gas boiler, Vented or system type?

I've to plumb a new house build shortly, and the customer wishes to have gas fired heating installed. I want to first fix in some extra pipework for possible future use, one in particular being a flow and return from the fireplace to the hot press for the fitment in future of a solid fuel stove, if desired, in combination with a heat genie. I'm haven't much experience with gas boilers, and the current options for the particular size of house is a standard pressurised system boiler, or an open vented type boiler. Apart from the upside of not having to use a heat genie in the future should a solid fuel stove be linked in, does anyone know of any downsides to an open vented type boiler compared to the standard pressurised (non combi) system type gas boiler? Thanks

If plumbed correctly and the gas boiler is designed to work open vented then that will work perfectly. I emphasise "plumbed correctly!!"
Btw in case you're not aware, you legally can't fit the boiler if you're not rgi. That includes first fixing the gas pipe, and second fixing of any part of the boiler, including the water connections
