Can anyone recommend a good agri advisor for the wicklow area?

My father has 44 acres of land that he's willing to give me - I want to find out what my options are in terms of taking over this land to farm and get grants to farm etc.

I'd suggest having a chat with the neighbours to be honest, they will know the ag advisers, they will also be farming, and may help you decide what option is best for you.

further i'd suggest looking at the farming from the perspective of production rather than grant aid, chasing grants is fine and dandy, but in my humble opinion farming is about growing food.

if yer after money, you may fit a LOT of strawberries on that parcel, but do you have the skills is the parcel suitable, do you have the capital etc etc, I once saw a 30 acre plot of rhubarb, impressive to say the least, and the farmer told me it was one of his easier crops, much less intensive than his winter cabbage for instance.
