Friend suddenly won't talk

A friend of mine a few weeks ago now suddenly seems to have turned on me. Before we were quite friendly and things were grand. Then one day she sees me looking low and thinks I'm depressed (which I'm not, i was tired and fed up at the time, quite sure i wasnt depressed.)

I think she already had suspicions that i was depressed, she had asked other people if they think there was something mentally wrong with me and they said they dont think so and had asked me about it before but i had said I'm not. Keep in mind she is a very strong minded person who would rarely see other people's opinion. She then starts to treat me really strange, cruel and ruthless, saying thimgs like "lifes tough, toughen up" "you need more of a social life" ( i have a smallish social life, as much as i want and the rest of the time i need to be on my own, im an introvert by nature) things like that. And also giving me general life advice when she has no real idea of what my life is like. This went on for almost a week and had been an on and off thing for a few months now. At the end of the week I had enough of it, told her in no uncertain terms f off and not to say any more. Probably not the best thing to do but I was at wits end at this point and felt like she was trying to drag me down. That honestly felt like a weight off my shoulders and that was almost 3 weeks ago now.

Since then we haven't talked and she is still acting the same way with other people. She has told me in the past about her nights of crying herself to sleep and different mindfulness therapy programs she has taken. When i tried to explain that the things she said to me before had upset and confused me befoee i told her to f off she gave me a reference for a psychotherapist making me very confused.

My main concern is if she is alright, I think she might have some sort of mental illness and am concerned for her but what do i do if she wont even look at me never mind talk to me?

    Any ideas???

This one is easy. Stay as far away from that person as you can and don't look back.

    i agree with above poster.

just because you had history, doesnt mean your 'friendship' has a future.

i suggest you gove the person a lot of space. you cant make them better. At some stage in the future she may reach out but until then leave her be. If she has a family member you have the contact details for you could give them a shout.

I don't think you should involve yourself with her, and I don't think you should contact her family. Time to move on.
