I am thinking of trading my 07 honda crv petrol jeep for a 7 seater.
looking about i think the citroen offers great value for money , and as of 2016 i think they have 5 year warranty. they have 3 proper isofix seats and resonable rear seats
I am thinking therefor about a 2016 one.
my worries are that its a french car and having owned a renault megavan, i fear it will give a lot of issues. the van was super economical but little things went and that casued alot of hassle(windows , locks , keys etc)
the honda on the other hand has given no issues at all.
can anyone offer an alternative 7 seater? i like the ford but it seems hugely more exxpensive
on trading my jeep, it just passed nct till 11/18 and has newish tyres(may16)
would i be better keeing it as long as possible or selling at a parcticular time like end feb or end june to maximise its value?
or would the general advise be keep it as long as possible?
it has little kms on it like150 and the only issue is tax and running costs are high
    thanks

Financially only new car will cost you more than an old one.

But at some stage the old one is not fit for the purpose - be it capacity, reliability etc...

If it is running fine and you don't need 7 seats now, I would keep it. But this does not take into account the "want" factor...

Following 7-seaters come to my mind:

The french trio: Grand C4 Picasso, Peugeot 5008 and Grand Scenic.

You can also check the Toyota Prius+, Ford Galaxy, S-Max, Grand C-Max, Nissan X-Trail, Kia Carens, Hyundai Santa-Fe, Skoda Kodiaq...

I would not obsess about the brand anymore. The reliability has been improved all over the board and new cars are reliable. Service them well and they will treat you well in return.
