China z visa application

    Hi,

    I've been offered a job in Beijing. I started the work permit application a few months ago and today I received an email from my employer to say that my work permit application has been approved by SAFEA. They have now applied for a letter of invitation.

    Does anyone have any experience as to how long it takes to get the letter of invitation?

    Also, when applying for the z visa from the Chinese embassy in Dublin do I need to give them the original work permit certificate and letter of invitation or will copies of these documents be okay?

    Any advice welcome. Thanks :-)
