Finding NZ uncle in the UK

Hopefully someone here maybe able to lead me in the right direction. I am trying to find my mother's uncle who was from New Zealand and moved to the UK in the 70's. All we have is his name and year of birth. I tried to check the 1981 and 1991 UK census records but the records seem to be not available online. Any ideas where to go next?

The most recent census released is 1911 so you'll be waiting some time!
Try the electoral registers on Findmypast which go up to 2013.

Now that is a surprise. I'll be sure to check that website. Thanks for the help.

When searching for living [or recently deceased] relatives in the UK you can search the electoral rolls for free at 192.com. The free search won't give a full address but may list other occupants at the same address which can be very helpful.
Another good source is Nexok - one of a number of UK websites that list company directors - it may give a date of birth and home address as well as other family members who may be involved in the same company.
