Hot starting issue

Just recently in the past week my car has started to not start when hot, ie, its starts no problem in the cold and will drive perfectly, but if I turn it off it won't start, it will turn over so its not the starter but not kick in, I think it might be the fuel pump.

There's no warning lights showing on the dash board or anything in the code reader.

How do I troubleshoot this, I have access to a donor car that I can get parts off fairly cheap, just want to know which part i need to get or if it requires something else.

I also have a oil sucker if that might help ?

Anyone know where the crank position sensor is on the BKD engine.

I'd imagine it's nice and awkward down on the flywheel at the front of the engine.

these engine are common to hot start failure google it, it can be solved by a software update which can be done by most people advertising remaps for about €80

I had one that would start but struggle to do so when hot.

In the end it was heat soak causing a lazy starter

I'd be looking at coolant temp switch, there was a replacement one afair from the original factory switch
