    Hi,

Are there any good drones (for use with an iPhone) for €100?

Depends on many things. I could say a Mercedes is a good car, but a Range Rover is also a good car, with very little in common between them.

Drones also vary between disposable electro-plastic toy drones and camera carrying drones that will last years, be repairable, etc.

So your expectations matter more than you think.

If you can let us know a little more about what you hope to do with it you should get some useful responses.

    Hi guys,

I'm looking at a drone to learn to fly/practice - basically just get a feel for flying it - not looking at taking it very far/high at all, (at least not now) more like getting the piloting aspect down.

From my research the standard beginner drones seem to be the Syma X5C-1 and the JJRC 8HC - I assume these would suit my needs for now at least?

I'll probably play with it a bit and see how it goes, upgrading to something better/FPV after a few weeks/months depending on how often I use it.

Finally any decent/reliable places to buy from? Amazon have them as does the usual Asian retailers like banggood and gearbest AFAIK.

    Thanks

There is an FPV version of the SYMA X5 called the X5HW on amazon for about 60 euro delivered. It also has altitude hold which is cool. This is the latest version of the X5. I'd buy it..

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Syma-2-4Ghz-Headless-Quadcopter-Function/dp/B01FRWEO6Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1481893703&sr=8-1&keywords=syma+x5hw

Also.... Halford have an "ULTRADRONE" which is similar to the Syma X5 and also has FPV on it. It's 87 Euro. I am pretty sure it's simply a rebadged Syma X5 since they look identical but with a differant brand name on them. It may or may not have a SYMA board or software inside it though. Still may be worth doing some research on it to find out what exactly it is. It could be a good flier.

I'm going for one of these but Amazon won't deliver spare batteries and a charger outside mainland UK (I have a NI address). Any idea where I could get them in Ireland?
