Which phone has best camera?

I currently have a Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 which I find really good except for the camera. For various reasons the camera is more important to me than it was when I bought the Ultra 6. I find that the photos I take are not fully in focus which is very frustrating. I end up taking about 10 photos and not one of them is good. I don't really care about video, just photos. Currently considering a Nexus 5x cos my OH has one and gets lovely sharp photos even in low light.

Before I go off and buy it, just wondering if you guys know if there are any other good options - can be bill pay or sim free but I would prefer android.

    Thanks!!

Best Android camera is Google Pixel, followed closely by S7 and One Plus Three T....

Check out reviews of the Huawei P9 camera before you buy. It's very good.

At the top end it gets VERY subjective imo, id suggest comparing about 3 you are interested in, theres 100s of videos comparing all number of phones just do your research but that DXO list is a great place to start. Ive just been through this with the missus and she has picked the G5, i think the second wide angle lens and the camera attachment sealed the deal. She was also looking at the Xperia X , the Oneplus 3 and the Nexus 6P

    Great responses, thanks everyone!

I'm a bit torn in that the reason I'd like a good camera is that we've just had our first baby so want nice photos. That said I'm reluctant to spend more than I have to if it's soon to be smashed up by this little fellow.

I've heard great things about the Motorolas and by the looks of the DXO list the Moto G4 Plus ticks my boxes. I can get it for £199 vs £270 for the Nexus 5x. Bit annoying the Moto doesn't have NFC but I can live with that.

Alternatively, I could get the s7 on contract but reluctant to do that again cos of the risk of it getting smashed and then I'm left still paying e50 a month in my bill.

Should I suck it up and pay more or will the Moto do the trick?

Edit: Can get 64GB G4 plus w/ 4GB RAM for £234 with black Friday/cyber Monday discounts. Worth it?
