Today in my 5610 floor volume change . I was pulling a trailer and after 20 minutes on the road I went to stop and change down gear she would not come out of gear. Then after a good pull I got it out but no way could I get her into gear anymore. The Hign / low will move all right. all I hear is that tearing noise when I go to put it into gear now. she was never like this before always smooth . But when she is turned off she changes gear with no hassle. What seems to be the problem this came on all of a sudden with no tell tell signs. Hope someone can tell me what's wrong

G.rocks could be on the ball alright. What does the clutch pedal feel like, can you get it into any gear? Can you check the linkage for the clutch pedal under the cab?

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

But the clutch seemed perfect before hand and she is in use everyday. Plus never struggled to get into gear before like this. I was thinking more down the line of the clutch release bearing or the clutch stuck to the flywheel

if you stop her put her in to first gear. then leave the hi-lo in nutral and start her would you be able to put her into high box or does it just tear? a clutch can stop working any without any notice or slipping before hand

Does the clutch feel the same now as before to press? Sounds like a clutch to me... disc is permanently engaged meaning it is like you never even pressed the clutch pedal..
I don't know this model tractor someone else may be able to advise of an inspection hole for the clutch..
