AV Receiver for PS4?

    Hello,

I would like to know if an AV Receiver would be suitable for PS3/4 gaming, computer, music etc.

Basically, the idea is to plug the PS4 on one of the HDMI in of an AV Receiver and plug an HDMI out from the AV to the TV.

Would this configuration be suitable ? Would it allow me to have the sound of the PS4 broadcasted from the AV receiver and the video only from the TV ?

    Regards,

Any AV receiver on the last five years has this ability.
What separate them now is the ability to decode Dolby Atmos or DTS X - given that Spotify/WiFi etc is expected in AV amplifiers
