I am considering job-sharing next year. I am a secondary teacher with a CID. My question is is it possible to job share for more than 11 hours?

I hadn't thought so. As far as I know it must be 50:50. If it's the pay issue you're worried about it know someone once said to me when they went jobsharing they only lost about 1/4 of their wage not 1/2 as rudimentary maths would suggest because they were paying way less tax.

Don't think so maire. I worked it out I would get around 2/3 of my salary net but that would getting assessed as a married couple. We would be down a good €1000 per month :( so I won't be job sharing anytime soon.
Your union fees go down too but if you pay income protection it goes up or stays the same net as you are in lower tax bracket :(
