Any recommendations for a cylinder for a well, looked at Joule Wellmaster at €1500 but was hoping to get cheaper. Not had water tested yet but quite prepared to pay extra on filtering if it means saving more on cylinder.

my experience with private water supplies and cylinders has been mixed you get a lot of sales talk, both ways some telling you have to have the "wellmaster" others saying the ordinary one is fine.
my best advice is to contact the suppliers/distributes by email asking them about the suitability of a particular cylinder for your application, that way you have a record of their reply.

i know of a situation where the supplier confirmed a cylinder was fine on a treated well supply, now its leaking and its a he said / she said situation.

if you do go down the filtered route you will need to keep records of the initial commission report and annual service reports and possibly annual water test reports because if there are problems you will be asked to prove the filters were working.

depending on the water composition (test report) filtersystems could run up to €5000 installation and over €500 per year service, but that wouldnt be average costs

All that said I ought a cylinder from greentherm a few years back at reasonable cost with email confirmation it was ok to use on private water supply.(i am not an agent for them and my only connection with them is as a customer) I dont know if they still supply that product
