State to appeal High Court ruling on the "unborn"

The state is to appeal a High Court ruling that could have major implication to the 8 Amendment and indeed other amendments relating to children.

Very hard case, Odd the classify the unborn as a child rather than a fetus for example. I cant seem to find a legal definition of child for Ireland that covers the unborn.

A referendum on the 8th and a referendum on children's rights too? The whole thing is a giant mess.

The 8th amendment means that in many cases like this the unborn child has to have legal representation.
