Price seems a little on the high side when this one which is a year younger is only asking 2k more:

Auto and a tow hitch. Not happy bedfellows.

    Can you not explain further?

    What is DG250?
How can someone know what is in their car?

1.6 is grand but 2.0 much stronger and a better drive.

It's the code name for the version of DSG gearbox as there is more than one variant of DSG.

    Hi Folks,
Any comments positive or negative welcomed on this used Skoda Octavia for sale.
I yrs warranty offered, some scratches on doors and paint touched up on rear bumper where tow-bar is.
Low mileage and full service history provided.
Just thought it was over-priced for a 6 yr/ 7 yr old car
    See link:

IMO he is asking a premium as its low mileage and DSG.
The two things i would worry about with the mileage is , is it genuine?
and the car hasnt been doing diesel mileage . its doing a touch over 4k miles a year . That brings it into possible EGR/DPF trouble assuming its fitted with a DPF
Regarding a full service history, id half question it .
Was the car serviced yearly ? is there 5 or 6 stamps in the logbook or did they do it on a mileage basis with long life oil? It might have one stamp in the logbook.
The other thing to think about is , if the timing belt has been done.?
Mileage wise not due, time wise well over due.

That one seems a touch basic. Plastic steering wheel, basic enough equipment. Seems a lot for a soon to be 7 year old €25 odd thousand car new.

    Thanks Colm for the feedback.

Its a NI import, Bolero radio in car system, air con, no centre arm rest, no front fogs, no dents on the body work and no scratches upon visual inspection this morning. Will be sold with new NCT and VRT guaranteed by dealer as bought from NI by dealer.

    I year warranty offered.

So what you think offer 10K?

The other 2011 DSG Auto that Bazz26 recommended from Annesley Williams was already sold when I called in this morning.

Okay good to know but if I was to make an offer on the 2L 2010 as I dont have the time and hassle of going to the UK, shipping charges etc?

What you think in your opinion , offer 9k?

Just do the sums based on retail asking prices, add vrt and add €500 transport. Add 1500-2000 for warranty and profit. £6k = €7200ish. They won't have paid that much though.
Comes to about €10k IMO but if they're asking 12 they'll probably hold out for €10500-11000

Nothing wrong with them making money but you need to ask yourself how much the Irish dealer warranty is worth to you.
