Would you eat food while walking?

A friend commented on the fact that I said I sometimes buy food and eat it while walking instead of sitting down to eat, I have never questioned the fact that some people don't eat and walk at the same time. So I guess what I'm asking is, do you eat and walk or do you abhor people who do the former?

In Japan eating while walking is considered very rude, or rather - it's weird.

What kind of question is that?

You hardly stick all your food on a plate and then walk around the house eating it?

Is this talking about buying a sandwich or something and then eating it on the move? It has never occurred to me that this is something someone wouldn't do. Sure, I've gone and bought stuff and then gone and sat in a park to eat it. But that's because the intention is to sit and enjoy the park, eating is incident to that. It's having something to eat while I sit. Not sitting while I have something to eat.

Sure, some things are far more convenient to sit and eat. But if I'm hungry and have somewhere to be, then eating and walking FTW.

No I couldn't bear it, wouldn't enjoy the food. Crisps or a bar of chocolate or something maybe but certainly not lunch.
