Which laptop to choose

My pc broke over a year ago so I have hundreds of pics to download from my camera. I m looking for a reasonably priced laptop with good storage and windows. I have an iPad and iPhone so will only be using this laptop for pics and if my young son has a project to do for school.
I'm bamboozled with all the lingo. Quad core etc

Thanks that laptop was showing this morning but as now disappeared!! Maybe it's price was too good to be true

If you don't mind me posting here I have few laptops left. Used ThinkPad x230 - good condition and battery.

Breaks my heart seeing people struggling to buy a decent new laptop when there are a ton of solid business class laptops for much better price. Most of them also boasts better performance as they have i5 and i7 CPUs as standard.
