    Where do people use theirs?
I assume you're not allowed to use them on ponds with ducks or where people fish?
Is the sea too rough even on a calm day?
What method do people use for emergency recovery?
    Anything else I should know?

I've sailed mine without disturbance in Sean Walsh Park Tallaght.
Also Blessington Lakes - I assume you are competent enough to run it there.

emergency recovery: this will damage the boat: a fishing road and a hook and weight: cast the rod out as you would normally and hope the hook latches on to the superstructure of the boat.

If the boat sinks...then say bye bye boat - especially in Blessington Lakes >> deep water.

if I sound snarky it is because I lost an rc boat in the River Dodder - not a good place to run them.
