Have a car to bring for a valuation next week. I calculated the VRT on the online calculator and it is stating a €1300 difference in the VRT due to a sat nav.
Qashqai acenta vs Qashqai acenta nav. Am I missing something here? The cert of permanent export states the spec as Qashqai acenta dci but it has a sat navigation fitted. What spec is it?

If factory sat nav was not standard on the Qashqai Acenta and its fitted to your car then it's fair to say that it's the Acenta Nav model. There might also be other features fitted to warrant the price increase. They usually go off the car's VIN rather than the certificate of export but you won't know until you present the car for inspection.

Just looking at the Nissan UK website and sat nav is not standard on a new Qashqai Acenta either. You have to chose the NConnecta model for that which costs nearly £2k more. I'm sure that includes other extras other than sat nav too.

It may not be obvious to them which it is.
    What year is it?

Is it 1300 difference in omsp or vrt?

€1300 on vrt which suggests €6500 on omsp as the vrt band is 19%. 131 qashqai valued at €19300. Sounds high to me.

Is the vrt band the same on both specs? Does the emissions band of the nab model match the emissions on your car?

Regardless of what you have to pay, APPEAL ANY VRT PAYMENT. Find examples of similar vehicles for as cheap as you can (eg online) and use them to argue that Revenue have overvalued your car. Also, make reference to any repairs that are required....particularly bodywork repairs. In my experience, Revenue will back down and give you at least some discount rather than risk a case being taken further.....and somebody setting a precedent. The only problem is that you have to pay their calculation of VRT before you can appeal.

If the permanent export doc says Qashqai acenta dci would removing it for the VRT inspection resolve it if it's not listed by VIN check?

I'm getting €16755 OMSP for a dci acenta nav march 2013 with 30k

    145 co2 23% €3853 vrt

There are versions of the accenta with 99g Co2 which give lower vrt. Others that are 137g.

What's the emissions figure of your particular car as per the V5

Just rang the wife. The V5 says 129 g/co2/km. Just recalculated it at €2853.

Ya seems odd to me and the gov.uk site verifies it at 129 g/km.

    As does Parkers.co.uk

Got this done after. It was within €80 of the valuation for a non sat nav model. Happy enough with that.
