Looking at DIY trip and looks like its 50% cheaper to fly out of Belfast. Anyone done it before any cons other then the airport commute?

Surprised at that as we usually go the other way :)
Our taxes are higher so means Dub usually cheaper , suppose with the euro its maybe working out.

Only issue i can see is using the bus , you would have to get the aircoach then transfer to one of the services out to the airport.
Parking is fairly cheap though when doing in advance online so with a few on board be much cheaper than the bus anyways.

Its a small airport , not much to say about it , if its that much cheaper go for it

Last year we got £18 e/w flights for Belfast International - Lyon in Feb
Going to via Geneva at Christmas and via Lyon again in Feb this year. Both return trips with 20Kg luggage for less than £70
It usually worked out cheaper for us to fly via Dublin but that has changed the past 2 years. Belfast is also more convenient to us being from Omagh
