Gas boiler pressure problems

Got a brand new gas boiler a few months ago for the house we bought, previous one was nearly 20 yrs old. Anyway the pressure keeps dropping on it so my plumber/rgi guy that installed it is saying we must have a leak so is suggesting putting in leak fillers into the system and an auto valve thing for the pressure. How much should I be getting charged for this? He is charging over 200 for it. The boiler is supposed to have an 8 yr warranty parts and labour with it, is this issue completely separate to that? I'm a bit annoyed he's charging me that much when it's only brand new, should the system not have been evaluated properly at install? Also do I have to use him or can I use any rgi person? Is there something about only using the person that installed boiler so that your warranty isn't affected? Thanks

No it's not the installers fault. He didn't create the leak. Assuming the boiler was installed correctly then that's his end covered. I wouldn't rush to using leak sealer just yet and certainly not an autofiller (ever).
Did he try isolate the cylinder to see if the coil is leaking?

No I don't think so. There was a leak coming directly out of pipe below boiler and he had to come back a few times for that(which was all covered as it wasn't put in properly). The pressure had been dropping since day 1 but it was assumed it was because of this leak causing it, eventually after a few visits this leak was fixed but even after that the pressure was still dropping so he said it must be a leak elsewhere that we can't see so suggesting the fillers.
