So since I've decided to try a work at my own detailing business full time has anyone recommendations for wet vacs? Have been looking at the Numatic George and some of Nilfisks offerings.

As a main professional machine i wouldnt have much of a clue but as a back up (you will need one) if you come across a parkside wet vac in lidl you could buy one as a spare.

If I were you FN I'd ask Elite Auto Clean what they are using. They will only have the best I'd imagine.

As per usual I went for something completely different :pac:

Just picked up a Vax 6131T, seems to get rave reviews from the groups on Facebook as well as general reviews. Looking forward to trying it :)

I got the same Vax 6131T delivered last week, much cheaper on Amazon than locally.
I won't get a chance to use it until the Christmas holidays. My car has light grey carpets so it should make a big difference to them.
I had considered getting a George wet vacuum but for the price and the amount of use it would get, the Vax made more sense
Have you used yours yet FN?

Nope! Cracked it open ready to use on a job this morning and ended up changing what was being done to the car so didn't even use it dry vacing yet! Mine was €139 from Argos, with Amazon it was coming to about the same with shipping when I checked last.

I got it for £80 including delivery from Amazon which worked out at about €93 with currency conversion at the time

You were lucky, even now it's £93 plus £15 shipping so comes to €135 from them now anyway!

Only the dry Vac but very impressed with the power! Have some carpets in my Saloon and Touring that need serious shampooing so whenever I get the chance to do them I'll report back! :)

I got a chance to use my vax today and I have to say that I'm pretty impressed.
The cleaning solution tank could be a bit bigger but for a domestic appliance it is fine, I'm sure industrial grade machines would have larger capacity.
I decided to start with the boot as I thought it would be the easiest part of the car to work with due to the flat surfaces even though it has more carpet than the rest of the car. It is pretty easy to use although I think I'll pre-soak some of the tougher stains next time.
I think that the picture speaks for itself. Who doesn't like a 50:50 picture?
