How do I handle this for taxation purposes? It seems that the earnings from the CE scheme are not taxed the same way as regular earnings and the person was working part time with us and part time with Tus also.

Tus is a different scheme to CE. I think with CE the person is employed by the individual company set up to operate that particular CE scheme, but I don't think Tus works that way, it seems to be operated more centrally (so I'm not sure if the worker is an employee or not). Either way, I would have thought just setting them up as a new employee with Revenue would trigger a tax credits certificate being sent to you. Has your employee been told by their scheme supervisor that they can seek additional work while on the scheme?
