Gap between house and concrete pavement

There is a gap between the house and the concrete pavement, probably due to concrete settling when it was laid. What is the best way of filling this gap? Expanding foam? Cement? Tar of some sort? I don't want anything cracking during frosty conditions? Any advice appreciated.

    How big is the gap?

A bit of cement should do the job, pack it down well with a slate or tile or something. I wouldn't go using expanding foam, could be easily chewed through by unwanted visitors down the line.

tar would be ideal. it would seal andd flex but its horrible stuff to work and is shockingly messy. you would need special tools to melt it and pour it.

i would use an exterior selfleveling compound or even a strong cement mix with a waterproofer in it.

if its small i would silicone it

Sand and cement mix and pack it in.

if it is a small gap a dry sand and cement mix brushed in and then use a watering can to moisten

I have a 1.5 inch gap in places, will a sand and cement mix do this or should I use pea gravel? Any idea of the sand/cement ratio?
