    Hi,

I recently moved into a new house in swords and decided to get the Boiler serviced as the vendor had told me it was last serviced two years ago. It said 6 years ago on the service sticker on front of boiler. There was awful rattling coming from the pipes which I figured was trapped air but the boiler seemed to switch on and off too much. Is the estate agent, vendor or structural house surveyor liable for any of this? Had I known it was in such bad repair I would have negotiated it into my price.

Flash forward to service, notice of hazard issued! Gas technician for energia told me he had to shut it off and told me I'd have to get the boiler replaced. It's entering into a cold period now and the wife is pregnant with our first. I'm worried about her being froze in house and its so close to Christmas alot of good boiler fitters will be booked up. I'm looking for a recommendation for a good gas boiler fitter if anybody can help?

    Any useful comments welcomed!
