Boafeng Radio Scanner

    Hi, I recently bought a boafeng uv-5re scanner for 30 quid off amazon and was wondering can i listen into dublin atc when i'm near the airport with this scanner?

    What you have there is not a scanner, but a transceiver (transmitter/receiver). Scanners are receive only.

    No good for ATC, it does not cover their frequencies.

    hi, thanks for your response. i have that in the box ready to be returned. could you please recommend the cheapest radio scanner that can listen into dublin atc whilst being beside the field.

    I have the liveATC app but am looking for a scanner now.
