birth cert for Ellen Tuam district confirms mother's maiden as Connolly, 1911 census suggests marriage c1887 ...

The only Slattery/Connolly marriage I found so far in this area around the right timeframe in civil records is for a James and Margaret in Glenamaddy district, which is adjacent to Tuam.

That marriage entry gives Margaret's home address as Cloonfane, same as the address where James and Kate were living in 1901 and 1911.

Dont think it says Cloonfane. Looks like "Clonbern" to me which is another parish not far from Glenamaddy. Unfortunately, doesnt seem that record is related as none of the other info on it adds up with what I have.

I believe this is the other Slattery couple in 1911 at Boynagh More townland, Glenamaddy district, and birth of daughter Anne in 1899 confirming parents names.

Looks like the eldest son Martin was 4 years younger than the '11 census would suggest :

so maybe the marriage was later than 1887.

Not sure whether we should be annoyed by how many records are missing or just grateful for what we have.
