Accident on private grounds

Hi, had abit of an accident today.
Was driving on the college grounds, and the motorbike slipped and fell. Black ice was really bad.
Ive hit my right hand side of the body pretty hard, awaiting to see the college doctor as I speak. Bike is damaged pretty bad aswell. Nobody else was involved in the accident. Lots of witnesses, all on cameras.

On separate note, i just witnessed about 5 people who also slipped while walking on the college grounds arriving in the reception.

My main concern is that the roads were not iced. 20 seconds after I fell, a man passed by putting salt on the roads. Should the private grounds be iced? Am I at my own fault here or?

Ive had experience in motoring accidents before where I was not at fault, and public roads only. This is a first for me so im not too sure how to proceed.

I dont exactly want to be attending the college and asking about this incase they get the wrong impression, so came here for advice first.

Im a full time student at this college and apparently all students are covered under the insurance policy.

Please shed some light on this if you could.

    Thanks in advance.

And in the case of your accidents on public roads, did you sue the local council for not going out and protecting you against black ice?

This thread has the look of a fishing exercise. If you want to sue the college for not putting salt or grit out before the road iced up, go see a solicitor.
