    Hi

My 07 Kia Sorento has died a few times on my over the last 6 months, I just driving along and the engine dies as if its fuel starved. When I pull over it restarts on the 2nd or 3rd attempt and alls well again. I was thinking it might be a fuel issue and removed the fuel delivery in the tank to check but it was spotless as was the tank.

Any ides what could be causing this ?

You need to scan car for error codes. I suppose there are no warning lights on the dash?

No, Nothing on the dash, this has happened twice overtaking and twice going up hills so must be somehow related to strain on engine or fuel flow.

Reckon I will change the fuel filter and look out for someone with computer to scan the car. But still wondering if I am alone with this on my Sorento.

This happened on my sorento. The issue was the fuel tank lining becoming detached and cloggong system. We replaced the fuel tank and i think we had to replace the injectors to sort it eventually ( i cant remember exact details) . It ran perfectly once this was done.

As you mentioned it happened initially when overtaking or when under strain.
