    Lads,

Before I call in a plumber I was wondering if one of you with superior knowledge may be able to help me understand what's going on so I'm not totally clueless when it comes to talking to the plumber.

We seem to have two distinct problems that have shown up in the last while. The first is to do with our rads. We've always had a rad in our front bedroom that has not worked for the past couple of years. I'm pretty certain there is an airlock in the system. The reason I think this is that we had some work done to a back bedroom last summer which involved the removal of the rad in the room. When the rad was replaced it stopped working, however the rad in the front room began working again. When we called in the plumber to rectify the problem with the rad in the back room, the one in the fornt room stopped working again. No idea why, but since we don't use that room I didn't follow it up.

Fast forward to this year and the rad in our own bedroom, which always worked fine, has stopped working. I have bled all of the rads in the system (until water starts coming out of them) and it hasn't rectified the problem. So I now have 2 rads not working and with the cold weather we're having we need to get it fixed. Any idea if this is a simple fix or how much I can expect to pay a plumber to sort it out?

The second problem we have is with the pressure of the hot water tap in our kitchen. It used to be fine, but lately, for some reason the pressure really seems to have dropped off. We also have a sink in our utility room and the pressure in the hot tap in there is grand. Again, does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this or if its an easy fix? Haven't a lot of cash available at the moment coming up to Christmas so can't really afford to spend a fortune trying to fix the problem.

    Thanks for any help
