What problem are you having, did it run out of kerosene?

Hi K.Flyer, thanks for your reply. No, there is plenty of oil, it just suddenly stopped working, as in we had it on all afternoon, (using the boost button), then it just refused to work..

Have you checked the thermostat in the house is turned up enough?
If it is, then go to the thermostat on top of the boiler, there is a small cap beside the control knob. Unscrew the cap and you should see a small pin. Push it down, if you hear a "click" try run the boiler again.
Also, on the front of the red box there is a red recessed button, try pressing that as well.

Yes the thermostat is at 20 degrees. Himself pressed the recessed button and it worked for about 20 minutes then stopped working again. He's going to try your other suggestion now.. burner was only fitted in April, with whole new system.. thanks again

Just put the room thermostat up a bit higher for the moment.
Check that the circulation pump is spinning, you should feel some sort of vibration from it. Is the heating system pressure ok?

If he pushed the recessed button on the burner, then it is a problem with the burner or oil supply. Is it just the photo / camera angle, or could there be a kink in the flexible oil line restricting the oil flow ? Also there could be water in the oil line that might freeze in this weather and block the oil line.

looking at the location of the "remote" acting fire valve and the oil filter its probably worth while getting a competent person out to check out the problem and a once over on the installation
