Hi tomorrow I have to go to court to give evidence in a case that happened years ago l. The thing is I was 14 when the incident happened and I'm now 18. I can't remember a thing. Can I just tell The judge that I can't remember or will he not accept that? I really don't know what to do and I don't want the judge to think I am lying. Any advice ?

You can look at the statement you made as exactly what you said many years have passed and the mind is a funny thing where certain things can be muddled and forgotten.

I already looked at the statement and what I said is utter nonsense, I told the guard I was a stupid kid at the time and that I don't stand by what I said, he asked me To make another statement to which I said no because I couldn't remember the night.

It's simple, you tell the truth. If the truth is that you don't remember then that is what you must say. Just answer everything truthfully and you can't go wrong.

Sounds like you are afraid or unwilling to tell what you saw.

You need to tell the truth.

Is it a very serious crime?

I think you should contact citizens info or speak with a solicitor as us not knowing story hard to help.

I would suggest speaking with guard and if can't get him ask to speak to a Sergeant and do that today and voice your concerns.
