    Very shocked and saddened to hear this morning of the passing of Billy McCarthy - the much respected mid morning current affairs presenter on Waterford's WLR FM.

    A mainstay of the WLR schedule for many years, he'll will be greatly missed by the many loyal listeners to the station.

    he was certainly a household name and he will be a huge loss. rest in peace.
