Hi, just got a 2013 Golf. I've changed the front assist setting via the main display but upon a restart it turns back on! This is the same for the start stop function...

Am i missing something obvious here?!

    Thanks

The start/stop can only be disabled with a vagcom and it's more a hack than anything. You basically fool the car to think the car battery voltage is too low.

Not sure what you mean by front assist setting - can you be more specific ?

Thanks for that, annoying but good to know about the start\stop!!

If i go into Car -> Driver Assistance. In there is an option for front assist...i've unchecked this option but it seems to clear on a restart of the car also. Is this something that can't be disabled permanently?!

Front assist can't be permanently deactivated by the user, it can only be done per individual drive as you say. It can be coded out but that may bring about insurance issues etc, being a standard safety feature.

    Have you got a fault?
