Bill issues

    Right we moved into our new apartment in September and since then we've been sorted out to start getting all the bills in our names, but we've been getting a reoccurring bill with the wrong last name then what should be on it; eg, T.Ryan instead of T.Kelly. Having a gut feeling that it was infact our bill but with the wrong name we opened it and low and behold it was our bill, but with the wrong name. So now we have a discrepancy with the bill, but how do we sort it without getting in trouble for opening a bill with a name the isn't ours.. Does that still like count as illegally opening someone elses mail??

    Thanks for getting in touch.

    If the account was registered when you moved into the property, but an error was made regarding how your name appears on the account, we can certainly look into this for you.

    In order to do so, could you please send us a private message with the following details?
    • Your full name as it appears on the Electric Ireland account
    • How your name should appear on the Electric Ireland account
    • Your Electric Ireland account number
    • The first line of your address
    • Your contact number or date of birth
    • Confirmation you are the account holder (a sentence stating this is sufficient)
    We can then look into this matter fully for you.
