I have a Nexus 7 and the screen is just too small for my liking. I want to get a 10 inch screen. I'm considering the Amazon Fire HD 10 which works out at roughly €200. Are there any other similar priced ones I should take a look at? I like the look of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 but it's a bit too pricey.

I recently had to set up a relative's 10" Kindle Fire and I was not impressed. It's quite heavy for starters and that's before you even turn the thing on. I had to go looking on websites to figure out how to get Google Play onto it because Amazon only want you to use their crappy app store. There's also a crippled version of Android on it which is set up to flog books and other Amazon products to you. I put a launcher on but wasn't able to completely hide the Amazon front end. My guess is that some people root them and install custom roms. My advice to you is to be very careful and see if you can play around with a Kindle before you commit to buy.

Would an 8" be enough for you? I've always thought 7" was too small a size but like 8".

I watched a few YouTube reviews of the Fire 10 and it didn't come across very well. Remembered I had a One 4 All gift card so got the Samsung today. Ended up costing me less than €200 with the gift card. Absolutely delighted with it.
