    Hi!
Does anyone know what is the starting wage for working at Housekeeping in a Community Nursing Unit ? Does this increase with time etc.?
Also what's the starting wage for a Healthcare Assistant ?
Thanks I'd appreciate any info regarding this or if anyone has any experience or advice on this area. Thank you!

1st point of new Health Care Assistant salary scale is €25578. However recently they have recruited Health Care Assistants as interns (I know) and paid them a starting basic rate of €22285.

There are Saturday, Sunday, night time and bank holiday premium payments as well.

Thanks for your reply. Appreciate it.
If employed as an intern do you know how long that lasts for, before becomming "properly" employed?
And do you know if the same salary is given to those working in Housekeeping?
Do I need to do the Healthcare Support Course to work in Housekeeping?
    Thanks

Intern is 2 years. You need to have your fetac level 5 in health care to work in patient care but housekeeping / catering you don't need any qualifications per sé. The HCA salary scale is better than the housekeeping /catering scale.
