Can anyone enlighten me on this?

I'm looking for the standard hourly rate for a domestic plumber?

    Thanks.

This isnt the place for this type of question.

Moved from E&BM to Plumbing and Heating.

All plumbers charge different rates. Possibly 75 for the first hour & 50 per hour after that.
It's best to forget about an hourly rate and get 3 different quotes from reputable plumbers. Pay more attention to quality rather than price imo

I happened across this a while ago im not vouching for its accuracy

similar to what sleeper said, in relation to planned work hourly rates are more of a reference prices are a more reliable comparison or cost guide.

one plumber might take a week to do a job where as another may do it in 3 days.

We can quote all the usual stuff : van, insurance, accountant etc, etc personally I spend 25 hours or more travelling to jobs but bottom line should be quality. I'll always pay be willing to pay more for the job done right by an insured competent person. I always suggest someone recommended for the quality of the work or service rather than someone recommended because they were cheaper than the rest. Personally I found online tradesmen had a lot of guys not willing to issue receipts.
