i know you dont leave your windows open

can you use the hot air when a/c is on or is just cold air?

It will blow hot or cold. The A/C takes the moisture form the air more than anything, making it ideal for de-misting windows over regular hot air blowing out.

Your probably looking at a 5-10% increase in fuel consumption. Climate control is the best system, you set the temperature in the car and it then chills or heats the car to reach this temperature.

Airconditioning will always blow cold air. Depending on the specification of the car it could have climate control which can do hot and cold.

I use climate control all the time, when it's working, as I rather being cool than lung full of diesel fumes in traffic or the buffeting from opening windows on open roads.

Air conditioning works on hot or cold or anything in between.

Just leave the a/c On all the time.

Slight increase in fuel usage, but a lot more comfortable, and no windows fogging up.

And if you have climate control, it's even better... Set and forget
