Overpaid JSA when I went on Community Employment

I just finished my Community Employment on October 28th and went for my means test yesterday at the Intreo centre in Galway. The deciding officer noted that I was overpaid 300 euros for job seeker allowance when starting my Community Employment scheme on December 9th 2014. I don't understand how this could have occurred as, as soon as I was informed that I was going to be taken on in CE I went straight down to the Hynes Building (the old dole place) to inform them that I was going to be starting this scheme. Oddly enough when I started the scheme in Galway Peoples' Resource Centre I received a letter the following week saying that it had come to their attention that I was working and I was required to get to the Revenue building to properly register the scheme. This was before the new Intreo building was completed and the DSP was partly based at the Revenue building. It turned out that everyone on CE at GPRC had got the same letter. Anyway when I went up to Revenue the DSP person said to me that I had not collected a payment at my local post office which I didn't bother with in the end as I had already started on the CE and was on the payroll there. So I'm left somewhat confused how could I have an over payment of 300 euros.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

Write a letter and ask for details in writing of dates and amounts of the alleged overpayment.
