Would also consider the same rifle with a timber stock, either laminated or plain.

Would you import one from England? I was looking for one recently and gave up. I ended up buying a Tikka. There are plenty on www.guntrader.uk for decent money and even better value with the exchange rate.

If I absolutely have to, might consider that option, although I'd much prefer to avoid the hassle of importing. Anyway, its looking like I'm probably sorted with a suitable rifle here in the republic, will know for sure next week when I have a chance to see it "in the flesh" and shoot a group.

David Moore in Rathnew DMA Country sports had a mint 75 deluxe timber stock in 243 bout 2 months ago. Worth a call to c if its still there.

Got sorted with a Sako 75 stainless synthetic in 6.5x55, courtesy of a certain RFD based in Ballymahon, a true gentleman to deal with.

Mods can you lock this up please.
