Imaginary friends

I made a new friend recently and I'm having doubts about whether the person exists outside of my imagination. I am pretty sure they are real because I'm mentally sound in general but there still exists a small doubt in my head.

What should I do to allay my suspicions?

They could still be a real vampire.

Not sure. They certainly cast light on many things for me though.

If he's called Tyler Durden you're in trouble.

There is a simple test for this OP, stab your friend in the gut, if they are real you will see blood and if they are imaginary...

This is a nicely veiled dig at religion. Not too thin. Just nice.

Could be a problem if his friend is real.
I'd suggest the OP give himself a good box in the head rather stab himself.

What a poor attempt at anti religion satire.

    You really must try harder.

That was not my intention when starting this thread but I can see the possible parallels. Just goes to show how easy it is to believe in something I suppose. I'm pretty sure my friend is real and exists in human form however, which is why I'm slightly worried.
