Invalidity pension arrears

    Hi, I've just received a letter to confirm that it has been decided that i am entitled to invalidity pension from the 03/12/2015. It says that arrears will paid into bank account. First IP payment due the 24/11/2016 and i just checked bank this morning and there is an extra €190.00 from SW. I'm unsure what this is and I'm hoping it's nor an arrears payment. I had been receiving €165.80 SWA and it says my weekly IP payment is €223.30. Does anyone know anything in regards to this or when are arrears paid? Thanks in advance.

    Arrears wouldn't be paid before payment starts. Your arrears will be the difference between what you've been paid and what you're owed, it usually takes 2-3 weeks at least.

    Wait until Monday and if you haven't received a letter explaining the money give your cwo a call and ask.
